Update for Shifty

Hello, dearest Sponsors!

My correspondent Kim said I should take “pen to paw” myself this month, and share my holiday Wish List with you!

I said, “Sure, I am happy to do so!”

So here we go!

First, I am grateful for my own safety and protection here at Tabby’s Place, especially during this time of Covid-19 turmoil for my human friends. The amazing staff, with limited help from a small team of volunteers able to enter the building under current state restrictions, have taken wonderful care of each and every one of the cats here at the sanctuary we are blessed to call “home.” We are so very grateful! My WISH? During this holiday season, every animal and human is able to feel that same security and peace that we know here.

Secondly, I am taking a page out of Kim’s book when I pray that everyone is able to treat other people and animals in the kind manner in which THEY would like to be treated. Kim says it is not really as hard as it seems to be, but for some reason, it has become a lost art. I know when I look out of my beautiful picture windows here from my cat tree, I see people smiling all the time at each other. It works here at Tabby’s Place; why not at other places? Bring on the kindness in 2021, wherever you go!

Thirdly, I wish for the continued good health of my feline friends at Tabby’s Place. So much veterinary and tender loving care go into each of us. I know we each benefit immensely from that care. It cannot be provided without your continued support and sponsorship. I think you are angels—right here on earth—for helping us.

I would be remiss if I did not mention that I remain personally grateful to each of my sponsors for picking ME to support. You could have chosen any of our Special Needs Cats, but you chose ME. I know my svelte (Kim’s favorite word to describe me) gray fur suit, and matching white bib collar and kid gloves, are hard to resist. So is my charming personality (if I do say so myself). In these times of real challenge, you have remained by my side, loyal and true.

At this holiday season, that faith in me and in Tabby’s Place makes us all here “smile with our hearts.”

We thank you and wish you all of the blessings of this special holiday season.

Your loving friend,
Shifty
