Update for Shea

Shea continues to thrive in the FIV Suite.   He is as laid back as ever, despite all of the changes: Knickers was adopted, while Arlo, Jake & JJ moved in.  This, inevitably, causes some chaos, as cats sort out the new order of things.

Arlo is very friendly, but prone to minor spats.  Jake is hyper-friendly and will literally leap onto the shoulder of a new visitor, while JJ is painfully shy and will skitter about the room to avoid human contact.

Through all of this, our boy shows great equanimity.  Watching quietly or soaking up the sun.  He is never fazed.  Always ready to be friends with a new cat, but just as willing to stay clear of difficulties.

He is a model citizen and a welcome personality in the suite, since it is often home to “juvenile delinquents.”  Most FIV+ cats are male, and they often spent time “on the streets” and are not strangers to fighting.  This is no coincidence, since this “lifestyle” is likely the cause of their disease.

And, on top of it all, Shea is very handsome and friendly.
