Things have been somewhat tumultuous in our FIV Suite recently. Wilbur was adopted, and Knickers joined the crew.
Knickers is the source of the tumultuousness.
This big, handsome buff boy (see photo) is, in the words of our vet, “a jerk.”
She assures us that this is a veterinary term referring to a cat that behaves like, well, Knickers.
Knickers seems to like nothing better than engaging in fisticuffs (pawticuffs?) with other cats.
He doesn’t get angry…he just wants to fight.
But it’s not play fighting, and the other cats do not appreciate his gestures.
So, we are keeping Knick crated while we get him started on some behavioral medications.
Through all of this, Shea has remained cool and collected.
He sticks to his routine and avoids sticking his nose into other cats’ business.
This has served him well. Many cats are incurably nosy, and that is not a good characteristic in Suite FIV at this time.
