Update for Rufus

So hello again, dear sponsors!

It is time for another update, and I am really enjoying this! I get special visits from my correspondent, and I get to thank you for all that you do for me. I may be a bit of a curmudgeon, but I know that I am one lucky dude. I know that you are helping me ride this crazy wild ride I’ve been riding since I arrived here at Tabby’s Place. With all the ups and downs, I know that I am in the best place a boy like me could possibly ever hope to be.

Well, I guess it’s time for the news, eh?

It’s been a much mellower month here in Suite FIV, ever since my roomie Knickers changed his routine. Just like me, Knickers is slowly learning to control his less-than-perfect behavior. Sometimes Knickers is in a large crate in our suite, to prevent any further tussles between us. Sometimes, Knickers isn’t in our suite at all, and I’ve heard rumors that the humans are working with him one-on-one in a private room. I guess he’s probably learning the stuff I’m learning from the humans working with me, like how to get along with everyone without lashing out with my claws or teeth. It’s tough for me, but they keep telling me that I’ll have a much better chance at finding a forever home if I can learn these new skills. I know I can do it, but old habits are tough to break. My correspondent keeps telling me that she has all the confidence in the world that I’ll find a new family to call my own someday. I hope she’s right.

I promise that I will try to coexist peacefully with my roomies, and I will look forward to letting you know how things go. I do understand what a big deal it is to be a sponsorable cat, and I cannot express how grateful I am to you for sponsoring me. Thank you for everything you do for me! I know that I have you and lots of humans here at Tabby’s Place who love me and believe in me. I have never experienced so much love from humans before, and I don’t even know how to explain how wonderful it feels. I am just soaking it all in, and I am sending that love right back out to you.

My correspondent helped me take a “selfie” this month to attach to my update. I think you will see in my eyes what a sweetheart I am underneath all of my rough-and-tumble behavior. I hope you have a great month of March wherever you are! Thank you for loving me!

Love, Rufus
