Update for Rufus

Hello sponsors!

November has arrived, and my correspondent was shocked to find me out in the solarium on her last visit. As much as I still love the fresh air, I gotta be honest with you. It is getting a little too cold for even my thick tiger-striped fur to take. She told me that she heard I was spending more time inside, and I guess she is right. The chillier air just goes right through me sometimes when that wind blows through the screens, and I just have to run through the tube into our heated room inside.

My besties Oscar and Shea haven’t given up on our solarium yet, and I try to stay out there with them as long as I can stand it. But then that cold breeze kicks up and I need to run for cover in the warmth of our indoor quarters. Perhaps I am a bit of a softie after all, even though you’d never have known it if you met me this time last year.

Don’t tell anybody, okay? I have a tough-guy reputation to protect, although my rough and tumbleness seems to be softening by the day. You will see in one of the pictures that I am attaching to this month’s update that I am still spending lots of time hanging out with Oscar and Shea. I think Oscar was telling us a joke when my correspondent took that picture. He is a super goofy guy when he wants to be, and he cracks me up all the time.

In my other picture, I tried to send all of the love I have for you right through the camera, and I hope you can see it in my face. As we move into this traditional month of giving thanks, all I can think about is how incredibly inexplicably thankful I am for you!! You are why I have such a long list of things for which to be thankful. This has been such an amazing year for me, and I feel like I have learned so much from all of my human friends here at Tabby’s Place. I just feel so much happier in general, and I know that is because of all the love and care I receive here.

I have been lucky enough to have another healthy month, but I see every day how many of my suitemates are not as lucky. But our super fantastic vet team takes care of their every need, and I know they will do the same for me if I ever need it. I never have to worry if I will have food to eat or a bed to sleep in, or even if I will have people to love on which as you know, is my favorite thing of all.

I have it all here because of you! I hope that you will celebrate this month of giving thanks by making a list of things you are thankful for because I know how powerful that reminder can be. Sometimes it is easy to lose track of the good things in your life, even the simplest of things when stuff gets under your skin and makes you lose your temper. You know I understand that!

But remember, my dear sponsors, that there is always always always something to be thankful for. And please know that I could never put into words how thankful I am for you!! Until next month, my friends… I love you!

Love, Rufus
(with help from your correspondent, Florie)
