Happy Spring to you! Newman is enjoying this time of year. Tabby’s Place was buzzing with volunteers today, and maybe we all just wore him out. I found him sleeping like a baby, as you can see in this photo. Does it get any better than that? All is super in Newman’s world.
A visit to the solarium found only Juju out there enjoying the weather. Of course, Toby wasn’t going to miss out on anything, so he quickly appeared. My hope that Newman would get inspired didn’t quite pan out. His dreams were elsewhere, probably a sunny island with palm trees, warm breezes, and lots of food.
Newman’s suitemates are doing well. The newest resident, Juju’s brother Buddy (pictured at right) was snuggled in his crate, hiding from his new world. I spent a little time fussing over him and telling him how special he is. He has the sweetest eyes ever! Buddy kept winking at me as I spoke softly to him. He is slowly being introduced into his new home, but for now he remained snugly secured inside a cozy box. He did let me pet him, but I’m not sure he actually liked it.
Newman is doing great medically. We have discontinued his stool checks, since he has been fine for ages. His weight came down, but there’s not much concern there. Dr C’s response to our big boy’s weight change? “Yeah, he’s really overweight.” We are also considering the newer cats and the stress of the adjustment to be the main factor in this weight change.
