Update for Mona

Hello dear Sponsor,

Here I am, your faithful reporter Mona, ready to fill you in on all the happenings in my life and in the FIV+ Suite at Tabby’s Place.

First, though, how are you? I am feeling great these days. It has been a lovely month, filled with long days in the solarium and frequent visits from our loving staff, volunteers, and well-wishers. The weather has remained hot, but there has been an occasional cool morning, reminding us all of the coming of fall.

Generally, things are pretty calm here. However, every month, there is one noteworthy event. All the cats at Tabby’s Place are weighed and have their nails clipped.

I use this occasion to play “hide and seek” with the staff. Sometimes I escape into the Plexiglas tube that runs between the suite and the solarium. This month, my correspondents got to see the procedure in action. They have captured the event as I am wrapped in a blanket for nail clipping. It is actually not so bad once it is over. (And I don’t have to worry about it for another month!)

As the FIV+ reporter, I have big news to share about Dwayne. First, as you will see in the accompanying photo, Dwayne has received a “lion cut”. He looks so cute, and I know that he is feeling better now that all his tangled fur has been removed. But the second bit of news is even more exciting. Dwayne is “on hold,” which means his adoption is underway, and he will be leaving us shortly. He is such a sweet boy, and seems to have had such a difficult life before coming here. We are all so excited for him.

The fall equinox is approaching, and soon it will become darker earlier and earlier. However, our lives will remain bright always, thanks to sponsors like you. Enjoy the end of the summer. We are all looking forward to cooler weather.

xoxoxo
