Update for Mona

Dear sponsors,

I love this time of year! There is a hint of autumn in the air, and I spend long days in the solarium, enjoying the sunshine and the smells of grass and leaves. Also, something wonderful happens to me when I am in the solarium, which my friends at Tabby’s Place call “solarium syndrome.” While I tend to be a bit shy inside the suite, once in the solarium, I am a different cat! I feel released from my usual inhibitions, and welcome gentle scratches on my head — and even full-fledged stroking of my fur!

In the solarium or in the suite, I always enjoy the company of my best buddy Hocus. A few weeks ago, I noticed that he seemed to have lost a little weight, and so I alerted one of the humans at Tabby’s Place. Hocus was examined by a doctor, and seems fine. But, his human friends continue to monitor him. At 15 years old, he is the oldest cat in the FIV+ suite, so we all watch him carefully.

I also have been spending time with another sweet boy, Wolfie. When Wolfie told me his story, I didn’t believe it! He was found on the grounds of a military prison, where a kind soul rescued him. Through a happy series of events, and the efforts of some extremely generous friends, Wolfie came to Tabby’s Place. Although Wolfie has spent time in prison, and looks a little like Jimmy Cagney, he has not been hardened by the experience. He is a patient and loving boy, and I love being with him. I’ve included a picture that shows the whole solarium gang: Wolfie, Hocus, and me (well, the back of me, at least).

I am happy to report that my health remains stable and stellar.

With the coming of fall, I tend to become more thoughtful, and my thoughts often return to you, dear sponsors. Without your selfless support, I would not be able to enjoy these beautiful, fleeting days of late summer. I am continually amazed by your kindness, and so grateful for everything that you do for me and everyone at Tabby’s Place.

Please come visit me in the solarium!

xoxoxo
