Update for Mona

Hello sweet sponsors,

I am healthy this month, spending time in both the solarium and in our indoor suite. The staff noted some weight loss for me and they plan on rechecking this. However, head vet tech, Denise, isn’t that concerned. Her initial response? “She could use it.” I don’t know what you’re talking about, Denise – I’m purrfect the way I am!

It has been a challenging month though for us in the FIV+ suite. My dearest friend, Dillinger, was diagnosed with cancer and began chemotherapy. Hearing this news, I stayed close to Dilly all month long and we became even closer friends – often cuddling in a cubby where I made sure to keep him clean, warm and comfortable. I even heard the term “caregiver” used for what I was doing.

My correspondents, who sponsor Dilly, and I hoped that he would get better while we all showered him with extra love and affection. However, in more recent days, his health began to suffer and the kind folks at Tabby’s Place felt that it was time for Dilly to leave us. We are all very sad to say goodbye to our beautiful boy.

Though losing Dil is sad, please know that Tabby’s Place could never perform these miracles without generous and kind-hearted people like you. Your financial assistance gives us a lovely place to live, lots of food and the best medical attention that a cat could have. I know that though he never found a forever home (the ultimate goal for all of us kitties), Dilly was blessed to spend his last years at Tabby’s Place filled with love, comfort and everything he needed right until the end. Thank you for being a part of that.
