Update for Max

Hello, friends of Max!

Life at Tabby’s Place continues to bestow blessings on our favorite feline.

This past month, Max had an abdominal ultrasound. I am happy to report that the vet team found absolutely nothing abnormal on Max’s ultrasound.

This doesn’t explain Max’s fluctuating weight, but it’s undeniably good news. Our theory at this point is that Max’s wobbly weight is secondary to his age and multiple medical issues.

I think Max is aging in a stately manner, maintaining his good looks and debonair personality.

Speaking of personality, our Max remains friendly and comfortable with his suitemates. He welcomes all visitors with those big green eyes that look directly at you. However, when he last looked into my eyes, I could almost see the question they were asking: “Where have you been?”
In that same look was also an invitation to sit down and tell him all about it.

When things in my own life keep me from visiting Max as frequently as I would prefer, I find our time together especially comforting. It is as if I am sitting down with an old, trusted friend. Max lets me speak freely, never passes judgment, and listens to everything I have to say until I am completely finished. It is with pleasure that I assume he agrees with me, since he does not say otherwise. Max is often my confidante, and I always leave feeling better than when I first stopped by. I hope my visits do the same for him.

Max is also blessed with wonderful sponsors who help to support his needs. In case you have loved ones who might wish to help cats like Max, he asked me to share with you that there is currently a Matching Fund Challenge running at Tabby’s Place. Donations made through our home page will be matched through June 27th. All these donations will support the Linda Fund, which covers our cats’ emergency and specialty care. As you know so well, Special Needs cats like Max are frequently the beneficiaries of the Linda Fund.

Theologian Thomas Goodwin wrote, “Those blessings are sweetest that are won with prayer and worn with thanks.”

We remain grateful for the many blessings bestowed upon Max by all who love him. Thank you for being among Max’s greatest blessings!
