Update for Max

Hello, sponsors!

Max here, putting pen to paw today to write my own update. As you know, I am always happy for the opportunity to share my own news.

Spring will soon be upon us here at Tabby’s Place. My window seat provides a cheerful spot from which to watch the springtime changes. Our staff and volunteers seem ready to welcome the warmer weather.

With Spring’s arrival come Easter and Passover. Soon, it will be time for me to gather the other residents of my suite for a special meeting. As suite patriarch, I feel is it my responsibility to prepare them — especially new arrivals like Lucille and Wilhelmina — for the annual visit from the Easter Bunny. Traditionally, this holiday bunny delivers treats in a basket on Easter as a reward for good behavior. This year should be no different.

The night before Easter, as we sleep, the holiday rabbit is said to enter our suite. Those who have behaved appropriately are given treats; those who have not, well…

Once upon a time, my own behavior towards others was often questionable. However, I am happy to report that I’ve mended my ways — and everyone is quite proud of me. Perhaps this has something to do with growing older. It is a reminder that we should always treat others with the respect they deserve.

So I have been a model citizen. Still, I’m a bit concerned about the upcoming suite meeting. What will my fellow felines think when I try to explain to them that a rabbit comes to visit while we are sleeping? A rabbit? Really? I can just hear the cats now, asking for more details and proof of the validity of my story. What will I say? The others might think I have a touch of senility. A rabbit bearing cat treats via door-to-door deliveries? Unless you have been a lucky recipient of those goodies, it is understandable that you might question this tradition. But they’ll see.

Switching gears, I’m grateful to share that I have only good medical news this month — which is to say, none at all. My heart, thyroid and weight are all stable. No news is most definitely good news here at Tabby’s Place, especially given my overly newsy recent months.

Thank you, as always, for your faithful generosity to me. You support me not only on holidays, but every month throughout the year. You’re helping to provide for all my needs, and my wants, too. Thank you for loving me more than any bunny could ever do!

Have a blessed holiday season.

Love,

MAX
