Update for Max

Hello, friends of Max!

Our fine fellow is doing quite well with his new medication. Max’s hyperthyroidism appears to be the cause of his weight fluctuations. Hyperthyroidism is a hormonal disorder that afflicts many cats as they age, causing them to produce too much thyroid hormone. Fortunately, it is very easily treated with a simple medication.

Max also continues to do well in his interactions with suitemates. There have been changes this month in his room, with Reggie and Racquel relocated to other suites. Joining Max in their places are handsome tabby cats Gherkin and Tucker.

Once upon a time, Max did not do so well with roommate changes. Welcoming new cats was not his strong point, and Max was not always a good host. However, a more mellow fellow now greets new residents. Today’s Max is a little older and much wiser. It is nice to see him accept his new suitemates without too much fuss.

Autumn brings many visitors to Tabby’s Place. Visitors often comment on debonair Max as he sits on his window perch, watching people coming and going. The lobby gets busy at times, and Max enjoys watching human interaction. When visitors look in his direction and meet those big green eyes, a certain twinkle lets them know he is happy they stopped by.

Thank you, dear sponsors, for your generosity to Max each month. You help him to shine with a glory all his own. It remains my pleasure to share his news with you.
