My correspondent Kim has allowed me to take pen to paw this again this month. She knows how much I like sharing my own news. It’s a treat for me to be able to communicate with you directly.
First of all, Kim asked me to assure you that my health is status quo — good news indeed. I have been told that my big green eyes have a beautiful glow. My correspondent tells me how handsome I am each time she visits with me, and she says that my continued good health is a blessing.
Things at Tabby’s Place have been busy lately. I watch from my window perch and see many visitors and volunteer friends coming and going. However, I have been granting “perch privileges” to my suitemate Sherpa. He is a Himalayan cat with the long cream-colored hair and blue eyes typical of his breed.
My duties as senior suite resident also require that I keep young Sammy away from that perch when Sherpa wants to spend time there. Sammy does not quite understand this, and would prefer to be on the perch with me.
Our other roommate, Eek, is content to nest her ebony self on lovely quilts, which softly touch her odd-shaped white whiskers. Living in this suite the longest, I have had many roommates, but I have lived most contentedly with this little group.
Well, I had better go see about getting a little time back on that perch myself. Thank you for your most gracious gifts each month. The good care I receive gives me the confidence I need to rule my suite with a style and grace all my own. I appreciate your kindness.
Sending all my love, I remain
Magnificent Max
