RE: Receipt of Feline Gift Stocking

Dearest Max,

I oversee all decisions each year regarding the matter of who has been naughty and nice. It is a pleasure to once again receive your request. After examining your qualifications and reviewing your file, it has been determined that yes, you will receive your annual gift stocking. This decision was based on the following criteria:

1). You have been such a good sport this year and shown your true good-boy colors when meeting new roommates. There have been many changes over the course of this year, and new felines have graced your suite. With the exception of just one female cat, you handled all of these changes well. We will get to that cat, Gigi, in a moment.

2). You have given up your special resting area to help one of those new cats with her adjustment to life at Tabby’s Place. Once a feral girl, Sammy is really looking for some understanding as she transitions to a gentler way of life. Thank you, Max, for giving up your throne; we know how much you like looking out over the lobby from that window seat. Your efforts and kindness are those of a true gentleman.

3). You treat your correspondent with love and tenderness. Kim appreciates this! She looks forward to those special visits she shares with you. The twinkle in your eyes when she walks in the door has not gone unnoticed, and she is very grateful for the affection you show her.

4). You treat the staff and volunteers at Tabby’s Place with respect and consideration — need we say more here?

5). You came through your annual physical examination with flying colors. It was a pleasure for the Tabby’s Place veterinarian to examine you and to pronounce you in tip-top shape. I am very pleased, and I commend the staff of Tabby’s Place for taking such good care of you.

Max, I am very proud of you! You are working really hard on your social skills with other felines. Your behavior towards senior feline Gigi did have us a little worried…but I joined the Tabby’s Place family in that sigh of relief when Gigi found her forever home. Surely this was a happy ending for all concerned.

Max, you are truly blessed to be a part of the Tabby’s Place family. You have wonderful sponsors, and I know if you were able, you would thank them personally for their most gracious gifts given not just at the holidays, but throughout the year. I know you are grateful for their love, kindness and dedication.

Congratulations on your achievements this year, and do enjoy that holiday stocking! Please share my sincerest wishes with all of your friends at Tabby’s Place, both feline and human, for the happiest of holiday seasons!

Sincerely,

Santa Claus
