I have been a long-time cat correspondent for the Special Needs felines here at Tabby’s Place. Part of that role is to bring you the news about your chosen cat – be it of illness, social life, or just plain “cat fun.” Another part of that role, I feel, is being the eyes and ears for those of you who cannot get to the beautiful sanctuary personally. I know each of you knows what your favorite cat looks like, but it is my job to let you know if something looks or sounds a little bit different. Well, it is hard not to notice that our friend Max has had a change in roommates!
This is big news in Max’s suite because, as you may recall, not everyone gets along with Max. Max will give a new cat the “once-over,” decide if he approves or disapproves, then let us know it in no uncertain terms. Gone is beautiful Deanna, who moved to Suite A. Enter shy Bindi, a beautiful tortoiseshell (tri-colored cat, similar to a calico, but with darker patterns of color).
In the meantime, I have sent along a couple of photos that show our boy’s beauty and elegance. Isn’t he handsome? Nothing changes about that! He has quite a regal air about him, but really is a mush-boy – climbing into my lap at our last visit, seeking affection. When I am on the other side of his window in the lobby, visiting with others, I see his big, beautiful eyes beckon, as if to say “when are you coming to see me?” Of course, I head right to him, for which he is always grateful.
Thank you, dear sponsors, for your most generous gifts each month. They allow our friend Max to live his life in peace and contentment, with the best medical care possible. Please know that he is a volunteer favorite, loved by many. Even if you are not able to visit him yourself, know that I tell him his sponsors love him, each and every time I visit. I adore him and love sharing him with you.
