Update for Max

Update for Max

Hello, friends of magnificent Max!

My name is Kim, and I am a long-time volunteer and Special Needs correspondent at Tabby’s Place. When I found out that our fellow, Max, needed a writer for his holiday update, I jumped at the chance.

Max is one of my favorite cats at Tabby’s Place (whoops! we can’t really use the word “favorite” here, as all of the cats of Tabby’s Place are our favorites, right?). So here I am to share his monthly news.

Max and I are well-acquainted, as I have been writing for his former roommate Trey for two years now. Visits to Trey once included spending time with Max, too. Though these feline fellows no longer reside together, I still visit Max just as regularly.

As you know, Max now shares his suite with three gorgeous female felines: Kylie, Emilia and Lizzie. At first, concerns about Max’s adjustment to his roommates saw the staff tenderly settling Max into a huge wire-crated area with a big, fluffy bed at night. His activity during daytime hours could be easily monitored, but this nighttime separation would ensure the safety of all cats involved.

Max seemed to take all of this in stride. Though he does not seem “smitten” with any of the lady cats in particular, he is now comfortable and at ease with them. In fact, just last week, Max was seen curled contentedly at nap time with Kylie. A little later in the week, he was in a close afternoon siesta with Emilia. It’s a nice room to visit, and the cats seem to enjoy the time I spend with them.

Max has been blessed with another month of good health. His coat shines, and his eyes look bright. His dark stripes stand out nicely against the backdrop of a lighter coat. He is a stunning boy, ready to greet his holiday visitors this time of year.

I have included a couple of favorite photos of Max. As you’ll recall, last month Kathryn described Max as “regal.” I think he looks rather regal and distinguished in these photos, too, don’t you?

As the holiday season approaches, I would like to say thank you, dear sponsors, for your love, dedication and devotion to Max this year. Your generosity allows Max to live in comfort and peace, in good health and contentment. When he rests his pretty head at night, he knows he is loved and adored by all of us, human and feline alike.

Have a wonderful and blessed holiday season.
