Update for Max

Update for Max

September salutations, Max Maniax!

Judging from its ratings, you didn’t watch Friday Night Lights, a critically-acclaimed drama chronicling life in a small Texas town during football season. What made FNL so good was the characters.  They were your neighbors, coworkers, and friends, and you wanted the best for them.  When the show ended its five-season run in May, the final episode can only be described as cheesy and happy…and perfect.  Everything worked out perfectly for everyone involved.

The residents of Adoption  Room #2 — both past and present — seemed to have adopted the FNL model of endings, much to everybody’s delight.

First, Trey and Cypress:
When last we left our two love birds, they had been forcibly relocated from each other: Cypress to Suite A and Trey to the Special Needs Suite.  The staff were monitoring the two to see if they were doing okay emotionally, and they were.  An analysis of Trey’s urine, however, showed that the diet for which Trey had been moved could be modified. Therefore, Trey was moved again, this time to Suite A, where he was reunited with his girlfriend, Cypress.

As for our boy, Max:
There was fear that he would not respond well to having two new roommates.  Would Max attack either Hooper or Captain ?  Would he attack his tail?  The answer is, joyfully, none of the above.  In fact, it seems our formerly feisty fellow has found two new BFFs.  As you can see from the picture, they are often seen canoodling during nap time. Who’da thunk it, right? Yes, all is well in Adoption Room #2.

This, of course, would not be possible without your generosity.  I know I keep saying this, but it amazes me how far Max has come since I met him.  This is, in very large part, because of you.  Thank you.

By the way, if you are in the Ringoes area on Saturday October 1st, please stop by Tabby’s Place for Catoberfest. There will be tours, microchipping, food, music, a special Blessing of the Animals and more. We would love to see you there!

Can’t join Max in person for the big day? You can still participate. Click here to bid in the Tabby’s Place cats’ silent auction, running now through September 26th. We’ve got oodles of goodies, from trips to trinkets to clothes to cuisine, and every penny you bid will help sweeties like Max. Thank you so much!
