Greetings, Max supporters!
Karin here, filling in for Jennifer this month, bringing you a snapshot of Max’s world these last few weeks. It’s somewhat serendipitous, really, because while I always try to stop by to say hello to Max, Trey, and Cypress, not long ago I set aside some time for an extra-long visit with them. It was a delightful time, and I’m happy to share it with you!
Adoption Room 2 is a very quiet spot. It’s across the hall from the Lounge, so there are people coming and going in the hallway, but the two adoption rooms on either side of Max’s are particularly quiet places full of sweet girl kitties like Colleen and Sylvia (in Adoption Room 1), Mia and Lady Grey (in Adoption Room 3). It’s the perfect spot for a quiet snugglefest, which is just what I was looking for when I went to visit with Max. I was not disappointed.
From the moment I stepped through the door, Max was sweet as sugar (not that I expected any less from our reformed boy). He greeted me and looked at me expectantly, very clearly saying, “won’t you sit down? I’d love some lap time!” Naturally, I obliged, and Max and I shared some smooshes, warm fuzzies, snuzzles, and general mushitude. In other words, we both enjoyed some good snuggles and pets.
Trey and Cypress were happy enough to say hello, but clearly this day’s visit was for Max, and he made the most of it. If I hadn’t had to tear myself away (darn responsibilities!), I have no doubt that I’d still be on the chair in Adoption Room 2, with Max purring up a storm on my lap. What a sweet cat. I know it’s been said before, but it really is so just that Max is at Tabby’s Place. There aren’t many places in this world where Max would be given the time and opportunity to overcome his condition so that the wonderful cat inside him could shine.
Thank you, as always, for your part in Max’s story here. Your support has enabled him to become the happy cat that took over my lap one recent afternoon. For that, both Max and I are grateful!
