Update for Max

Hello, my friends!

Max here, putting “pen to paw” this month to bring you my own news. I am grateful to my correspondent Kim for allowing me this opportunity.

I am feeling quite well and have been happily receiving visitors in my private suite. I enjoy the special one-on-one quality time with each and every person. I will greet my visitors, show them the “options” for a seat next to me, and once they settle comfortably, I will sit down with them for a talk.

My windows have a nice view out over the trees and parking lot, from which I am often able to spot a potential visitor prior to that person’s entrance into the suite. I can see that correspondent of mine from a mile away! I can’t take credit for knowing her car, but Kim, I DO recognize. She comes up to the window and peeks in at me first (that helps, too!). A few minutes later, my suite door opens. I may not always be in the mood for a photo session with Kim, so this month another volunteer sent along the nice photos you see of me taken during her most recent visit. As you can see, I remain a handsome and noble cat in my senior years (if I do say so myself!).

I have had a healthy month overall. A few minor issues popped up for me this month but definitely nothing to worry about. An episode of chin acne occurred, which was easily treated topically with gentle scrubs. Acne occurs in cats as well as people, and similar to the human kind, it clears but can recur. So far, so good; I have cleared up nicely. My ears developed a yeast infection, too, which is also a common ailment in cats. I am responding well to medication for that issue, too.

Tabby’s Place is responsible for the wonderful medical care that I receive, as well as the emotional support needed to help me to be the best cat I can be. There is a fund called “The Linda Fund” that helps other cats like me when we have medical issues, which can be quite challenging to treat and quite costly. Right now, but only until September 30th, any amount you donate to this fund will be “matched” by corporate sponsors! Won’t you consider helping other kitties like me who would so benefit from your most gracious donations? This is the link to follow. Please share this with your friends who share the love for us felines!

I thank you in advance for anything you can do to help others like me. In the meantime, I send my love and appreciation for your most gracious gifts each month that help ME to be the SUPERB feline that I am (again, if I do say so myself!).
