Update for Mary

Happy December, my dear sponsors!

The holiday season is upon us, ready or not. I hope you are enjoying the season so far and it is not a stressful time of year for you. I am, of course, enjoying every day of December, but as you know, I enjoy every day of every month. It’s just who I am. No matter what is happening around you, I say choose to fill your day with joy! That joy will come back to you, I promise!

I can prove my theory right away, because I only have good news this month. Our super fantastic vet team has transitioned Suite A to a new gastrointestinal (GI) diet, so now we are all eating the same food.

Do you know what that means? It means that I no longer sleep in a crate overnight to keep my special food to myself! I get to sleep wherever I want again, on whichever fluffy bed I fancy at that moment. I get to snuggle with all of my friends all night long, just like I used to, and I couldn’t be happier about it! Cindy, who is one of my newer friends in Suite A, has also been liberated from sleeping in a crate overnight, so we have been frolicking together quite a bit in the wee hours.

I am also thrilled to report that my weight is up a bit, and my human friends are breathing a sigh of relief. They are hoping that this new diet will help those of us with leaky bums to produce less poop and therefore be more comfortable. I feel like I’m a bit less leaky and messy lately, so I think the plan is working!

My correspondent was quite thrilled to find me in much better spirits when she visited me recently. She and I were chatting as we always do, and then two other volunteers came to visit too. One of them bent down to pet Cindy, and before the human knew what was happening, Cindy leaped up onto her shoulders. That Cindy is just a hoot! She settled in and was perfectly happy up there. The human was taking lots of selfies and said she couldn’t wait to put this on Facebook. So I thought to myself, maybe I should try this too? I’d love to be on someone’s Facebook page! The next time the human came close to where I was sitting, I tried to climb up on her shoulders too! But Cindy was still there, so there wasn’t really room for me, unfortunately. But my correspondent caught me in the act, so she could attach a picture to this month’s update and show you my crazy antics.

My other picture shows me just chilling out in one of the places where my correspondent and I had a cuddle session. So I hope I’ve inspired you to try something new, crazy, and fun this holiday season.

I love you with all of my entire furry grey heart and I am sending you lots of fluffy holiday hugs! Please remember that my life is full of joy entirely because of you. I cannot ever express how grateful I am for everything you do for me! Until next month, be kind to one another.

Love,
Mary
