Update for June

Happy Fall, Dear Sponsors & Tabby’s Place Lovers…and welcome to my latest journal!

It has been one hectic month for me…you see, I developed a urinary tract infection (UTI) this past month.   Healthy kitties sometimes get these, but we paralyzed kitties are prone to them.  I leaked all over one of the staff members first thing a few mornings before being expressed.  So they knew I needed some help.

At first, I got an antibiotic shot ( I think it was covenia ), but that didn’t work for me.  So, I had to have a urine culture done and it showed I needed a different antibiotic.

I hate to have pills put into my mouth and I hate to swallow them.  But, being June, I endured and made it through the round of meds for a clean bill of health.  I tried to hide under the blankie in several of the pictures, but the staff always managed to find me for my meds.  You can’t fool any of the folks at Tabby’s Place.

So, now that I am healthy, I am back to being finicky with my wet food.  But most of the staff have figured out what I like and I am enjoying my top wet foods again, including a chicken and liver pate.  If I get one that is not a fav, one of the other kitties in my room will gobble it up while I get another.  You can see from the picture just how much I enjoy my breakfasts and suppers.

It certainly has been a strange month for the weather.  We have had many rainstorms.  But all the kitties here at the sanctuary are safe, dry, and cool with the heat and humidity outside.

More people are coming by to help with taking care of us as some of the COVID restrictions have been lifted.  But I still miss seeing all the potential adopters and I miss my Scribe.   She has 3 very sick kitties to take care of at her house.  But she promised to make every effort to come visit me soon.

I am enjoying my time with the staff and volunteers and waiting for the seasons to change.

Thank you for all you do to let me live the good life at Tabby’s Place.  You are amazing to love me so much to support me even in these difficult times.

Hugs and kitty kisses,
June
