Update for June

Happy May, dear sponsors and cat lovers.

Welcome to my latest Journal!

I am a sad kitty these days.  None of the volunteers are allowed here yet, and I miss them a lot.  Scribe has not been to visit me in a while, as she can’t come, either.  This virus thing is really putting a damper on everything.  I am hoping that some folks will be able to come back soon, even if that means they must wear masks and gloves.  As long as I can see my old friends again, that is all that matters.

June, getting hugs from Denise, our Senior Vet Tech

I have enjoyed very good health this past month.  The staff here at the sanctuary is doing a wonderful job keeping me in line.  I get expressed several times a day and still get those monthly mani’s and pedi’s, dental checks and all-around exams.  It makes me happy to know that I am so loved by so many folks.

Lately, I have been curled up with Tux in one of the cardboard Chewy boxes.  We kitties love boxes and paper bags.  The staff hasn’t given me any of those paper bags, as I am a shredder and will tear them to pieces in no time.  But the boxes are good for curling up and sleeping with my buddy, Tux…

I still like to get my head and chin petted and scratched.  But, I am always a little on guard.  I guess it will take me a while longer to relax after my life on the streets and getting hit by that nasty car.  But this lady named Lisa gives me “snuggle hugs,” when she and the other staff come to help me with my toilettes during the day.  So I am getting used to lots of people giving me hugs and kisses.  Sometimes I let down my guard and just enjoy the attention and massages.

I am hoping one day soon that people will come to visit us again and to adopt the Special Needs kitties like me.  While I am happy and so well taken care of here at Tabby’s Place, I would still love a home of my own.  So, stay tuned for any news about when we will once again open our doors and see all the volunteers and visitors.

Until then, you all be well and safe and be careful.  And know how much I love you for all the support you provide.

Love and kitty kisses,
June
