Update for June

June’s Journal #30

Good day, Tabby’s Place friends and sponsors.  Welcome to my latest journal.

Wow, what a Fall we are having.  First it was Halloween, then we had Thanksgiving, and after that, we had snow…and wow, did it snow here in Ringoes!!

Now are are looking forward to Hannakuh, Christmas and Kwanza.  Fall and Winter certainly do have their good days, except for the cold and snow and sleet.

I am enjoying a wonderful month of good health here at the Sanctuary.  I have passed all my monthly tests….ear cleaning, dental exam, mani, pedi, and overall general health check.  But I am worried about my buds.  Puzzle, with whom I love to curl in the big cat bed in the Community Room, has a URI (urinary tract infection) and has lost some weight.  The humans here say he is okay and we can continue our romance as he is on meds for his issue and is feeling much better.

Then there is Miss Claire—remember her?  She pummeled me 5 or 6 times last month and shocked me a whole lot with that event.  But the humans here found out she has asthma and is now on steroids for her coughing. I think she could not see me very well and was probably feeling crummy until she got her meds. Now we are co-existing in the Community Room and all is well.

I am really playing games with the staff and volunteers at the sanctuary.  Whenever they are all in here for their daily meetings, I love to jump off of my cat trees onto the soft pillows and blankies on the floor.  I certainly do scare them!  But so far, so good. As long as I jump on something soft, I am okay.

So, all the humans are in a frenzy over holiday shopping.  Thanks to you, I am not worried as I know I will have a warm place to be, lots of food in my tummy, friends to play with, and lots of pets and loves from everyone.  I am paralyzed, you know, and need extra help going to the bathroom. I know there are many folks out there who know how to take care of special needs kitties like me.  So maybe one of you could think about adopting me.  Wouldn’t that be the best holiday present ever?

Come and visit me and the other kitties here at Tabby’s Place during the holiday season.  We all would love a home of our own with our own people to love on each and every day and night.  If you can’t adopt us, please sponsor one of us or just come to visit and play with us.

To everyone out there, have a happy and healthy holiday season and be warm and dry.

Love and kitty kisses to all,
June
