Update for June

June’s Journal #24

Happy May, dear Sponsors.

I have some wonderful news for you.  For the past few weeks, the staff at Tabby’s Place has been doing a very informal type of physical therapy with me.  They hold me up while they express my bladder, so that I can stand on my front legs.  Since I use my front legs to propel myself forward, this kittycise (you humans know it as exercise) is helping to build strength for me.  Now I know why you all like to go to the gym so much.  I have my very own personal trainers here at the sanctuary and am getting stronger with each day.  Take a look at me doing my kittycise with Sanctuary Associate Drew:  My Kittycise!

I am still liking the huge dog bed with all the covers in my Community Room.  Sometimes I even burrow under all the blankies and like to hide and stay warm.  That is where Scribe found me when she came to visit me a few days ago.  She gave me a wonderful tail rub, and I just nestled in and enjoyed it a lot. I even got a back rub and ear rub today, too. I was sharing my bed today with Tux.

Since all the Community Room kitties were enjoying some quiet nap time, all you could hear was the sound of the water fountains.  It was kind of nice to have such quiet.  But it wasn’t long before my crew came by and I was surrounded by Tux, Peep, and Pixie.  After Jess came in and helped me with my toilette, I got back into my big bed with all my roomies and we took a cat nap.  Carley Rose was in charge from her perch atop a huge cat tower.

Now that the weather is starting to warm up a bit, I am totally enjoying the very warm spring sunshine.  You can most times find me lying in the brightest beams in the Community Room if I am not under or on my big bed.

Healthwise, I am very good.  My cauliflower ear gets better with each passing month.  I am not having any dental issues, nor any urinary tract issues.  In fact, I am as healthy as a lioness!

So now that the weather is getting better with no snow or ice, please come by and visit me and see me do my kittycises.  I would love a home of my own one day, as would all the kitties here at Tabby’s Place.  You can find me in the Community Room, but you might have to look long and hard under all the blankies.  Try the big bed first, as I love to crawl under all the blankies every day.

Rest assured, dear Sponsors, that I am happy and healthy and appreciate your wonderful generosity and support that keeps me that way.

Kitty purrs and kisses,
June
