Update for Corey

Hello there. I come bearing good news about our Corey. It seems that our fortune with good weather has also been bringing good tidings for the little sweetheart. The week of May 1st, Corey went to see his ophthalmologist so that his glaucoma could be evaluated. The vet was concerned that the pressure was causing Corey some discomfort. According to his eye doctor, there is no cause for alarm! The pressure is much lower than we initially thought, so there is no need at present to operate. Rather, we will be keeping a close watch, as we have been.

On a different note, Corey’s fur was developing some painful mats that not even a good brushing could prevent. It was decided that we would shave him, and the results are fabulous! He looks like a handsome little lion. Various staff and visitors have been stopping by to see how cute he looks, and everyone is smitten!

Corey is such a pleasure to visit. It seems he has grown more comfortable with his space since his neighbor Tabby has moved in. He is very popular with the staff, which is good because he loves attention, and a good scratch on the cheek. Corey continues to exhibit the sweetest disposition despite his maladies. I look forward to telling you more about our Corey in the future. Until next time, warmest regards.
