Update for Corey

For the most part, this has been a good month for Corey.
He continues to be diarrhea-free, his appetite is good and he is happy.
In addition, his fur is growing back very nicely and is incredibly soft and plush.
In the photo to the right, you can get a feel for how nicely his fur is coming back and how beautiful it is.

Corey gets along very well in the Employee Lounge.
The room is small enough for him to feel comfortable getting around in it, but has enough room for him to explore and find interesting things to smell.
In addition, because the lounge is our lunch room, Corey gets visitors all day, but he is not underfoot.

Corey absolutely adores human interaction and whenever anyone enters the Lounge, Corey will begin within a few minutes if he does not get attention.
Of course, no one here can resist Corey, and so it is mandatory to sit down and pet him for several minutes, at a minimum.
Corey never seems to tire of the attention.

The only concern we have about his health is a small amount of blood we noticed on his bed the other day.
One of our vets examined him and didn’t see antyhing out of the ordinary.
But she wondered if his teeth might be the cause of the blood.
Corey’s teeth are in very bad shape.
But we are leery of doing a dental on him since this requires anesthesia and, despite his improved health, he still appears frail.
We don’t eant to put him through this unless it becomes absolutely necessary.
We will keep a close eye on him.
We should have more to report on this next month.
