Update for Corey

For the past few days, some of the employees noticed that Corey didn’t seem to be acting quite right.
They couldn’t put their finger on it, but he just wasn’t himself.
Because Tabby’s Place has on-site medical facilities and vets, they can always provide top-notch medical care.

One of the vets examined Corey yesterday (Sunday, 9/26).
While taking a close look at Corey’s eyes, she noticed that he has a serious problem with his right eye (you can see this eye in the photo to the right).
Coery has anterior lens luxation, which means
that the lens has become displaced and moved in front of the pupil.
This can cause increased pressure within the eye, which can become uncomfortable.

We have made an appointment with a veterinary ophthalmologist for Tuesday (9/28), as we don’t want Corey to be uncomfortable any longer than necessary.
Our vet thinks that it is likely that Corey will have to have that eye removed.
But, given Corey’s condition, surgery is something we need to consider carefully, with the advice of an expert.

Please keep dear Corey in your thoughts and prayers.
I will update you as soon as I know the results of his visit to the eye specialist.
