There is good news and bad news this month. First the good news…recent x-rays have shown that Cloud has no more tumors. She will continue her chemo treatments for the next six weeks.

The bad news is that Cloud’s lower eyelids are beginning to roll in again. This is not uncommon in entropion surgeries; often people or animals need to have a second or even third surgery to fully correct the problem. Dr. Collins was conservative when she worked on Cloud’s eyes, removing as little of the eyelids as possible. When Cloud’s chemo treatments are complete we will proceed with another surgery.

On my last visit Cloud seemed very friendly and more interested in me that usual. But the staff feel that she has been less active and more reserved lately, which they attribute to her rolling eyelids. Hopefully this will pass after her second surgery.
