Update for Cheba

Greetings, Cheba sponsors!

Cheba is doing wonderfully. Still the reigning cat in Suite A, she’s a very happy and content kitty. She loves to be petted and played with. Last time I visited with Cheba, she was rubbing against my hands, and I was rubbing her belly, neck, and head. She adored every minute of the attention as much as I adored petting her. Then, I picked up a cat toy, the kind with a string and feather hanging off a stick. Boy did she like to play with that! We had a grand old time with that feather toy.

Cheba gave the Tabby’s Place staff a scare this month. Being the quick escape artist that she is, she ran out into the hall as usual one morning. The volunteers left here there for a minute while they put down fresh food dishes and litter pans. When they went to look for her, she was nowhere to be found. They called Jonathan (Executive Director) & they all started a search. They checked all the suites & all the hallways,
even outdoors. Somehow Cheba had gotten into a solarium. One of the volunteers presumably opened a solarium door to look for her & she slipped out without being noticed. She can be so sneaky!

In medical news, a roundworm in one of the litterboxes in Cheba’s suite recently, so all the cats who live there were “dewormed.” This was a routine, uneventful procedure; the cats are fine and roundworm free. Cheba is healthy and enjoying life!

Until next month…
