Happy June to y’all!
I must say, it doesn’t feel much like June here at Tabby’s Place. We’ve had unseasonably chilly and rainy weather, and true summer just hasn’t quite kicked in yet. But it’ll show up soon enough, I’m sure.
I hear we’re finally seeing the typical “boom” of kittens that comes with the warmer weather, and hopefully they’ll all find happy forever homes. I was thrilled to see my two most painfully frightened roommates, Bucky and Stormie, find their best possible forever home this month — a safe barn home, where devoted owners will care for their needs and even provide their prescription diets!
In health news, I’m happy to report that all your love and good thoughts have, as always, helped me tremendously. My digestive issues appear to be calming down, and I’m feeling much better. My vet team says my stool is nicely formed, and they will continue my current medication protocol. What a relief! My vet team also jokingly sounded the alarm about the fact that I lost a half of a pound. As you know, I’m at no risk of fading away any time soon, so there was no need for true concern…but in case you’re wondering, I quickly proceeded to gain that half pound right back!
My blood glucose (BG) curve this month did reveal that my BGs are running high, so I’m now on a higher insulin dose. It’s a simple fix, and thanks to my ever-attentive friends here, I’m happily enjoying the beginning of summer from either a human lap or a comfy bed.
I wish you a beautiful beginning to summer, my beloved sponsors. Please enjoy this picture taken by a friend of mine, as I was yawning after one of my many daily naps in the outdoor air.
Peace, love, and purrs…
Charlie
