Update for Charlie

Greetings to my beloved sponsors, and happy September!

As autumn approaches and summer fades, my feline companions and I are enjoying the perfectly lovely weather we’re having here in New Jersey. The loyal scribe who writes my updates with me has told me about all the scary weather happening in other states, and I’m sending fuzzy grey snuggles out to everyone who’s affected. I wish I could crawl into the lap of every person out there who needs a hug for any reason, because I’d love nothing more. I’m also hoping all the cats (and yes, other animals too) who have been displaced by the hurricanes and flooding are reunited with their humans.

Maybe someday I’ll find a forever home where my new family will bring me around to folks who need therapy cats, because I know I’d be awesome at bringing comfort to anyone.

In health news, my spectacular vet team noticed a small abrasion on my left ear earlier this month. They are entirely sure it’s no big deal and they’re simply monitoring it to make sure it heals properly.

We have a very shy new neighbor in Suite FIV+ named Shea. I’m hoping to befriend him, whenever he’s ready and as slowly as necessary. I’ve been spending most of my time as usual in our solarium, which got a major upgrade recently. Thanks to a donation from one of our generous volunteers, we now have new large cat play towers in each solarium. Most of my roomies have wasted no time in exploring and enjoying them. I still tend to stick to the floor or the lower beds, since those new towers look like a lot more effort to climb up on. I’d much rather spend my time sleeping in a lap or somewhere else that’s easier to lumber over to. Climbing is not my jam. To me, life is all about chilling out and relaxing…which, thanks to you, is how I fill my days. Thank you for everything you do for me!

Peace, love, and purrs…
