Update for Charlie

Dear friends,

I hope you are all having a wonderful summer. I am having the best summer ever! I highly recommend this “having your own home” stuff — it’s awesome. As I write this to you, I am lying on the bed with my momma petting and kissing me. I like all the petting and kisses, and I love the big comfy bed. It’s also very comforting to be able to snuggle close to momma all night long, I really like that.

Momma did something that she called a blood glucose curve. I didn’t like that, not one bit! Several times during the day, momma pricked my ear with a small needle. She said it was to make sure my insulin levels are good, whatever that means. Momma said the vet said I am doing well. I could have told her that; does that mean I’m a vet? I feel great! I get boiled chicken every morning for breakfast, wet food twice a day, dry food all day and night, and treats at bedtime. Life is good.

My momma recently had 2 kittens here. She said she was fostering them because they needed help. I didn’t get to play with them, but I heard them squeaking in the bathroom. I didn’t mind momma helping them, but I’m glad they didn’t stay. I have to deal with sharing momma with the scooting cats, and they are a handful.

You would think they couldn’t cause too much trouble since they don’t walk, but boy can they scoot fast! Tanzy isn’t too annoying; I even share the bed with her sometimes. But Castiel is annoying. He’s young, and has way too much energy. He’s always zipping around, playing, and chasing my tail. I don’t like that. I have hit him a few times, but he doesn’t seem to get the hint. He needs to channel his inner cat, and chill!

I don’t mind hanging out in the screened solarium with the scooting cats. They are busy watching the birds or hunting bugs, so I get to lay in the sun in peace.

Thank you, my friends, for sponsoring me. I am a very healthy and happy boy. Life is good.

Your pal,
Charlie.
