Update for Charlie

Happy 2016 to you, my sparkling sponsors!

I hope this new year brings joy and love your way. I counted down to midnight on New Year’s Eve alone in my solarium, pondering deep philosophical thoughts on how to bring peace to this planet of ours.

Now if you’ve met me, you know I’m a deeply serene dude, and nothing truly rattles me. The newest proof of this was earlier this month. One of our dedicated volunteers witnessed me emerging from a plastic igloo, where I had been nesting in a cozy pile of blankets. When I attempted to crawl out through the plastic door, however, my extensive girth got, well, stuck…and I ended up dragging the igloo across the floor with me a bit.

My beloved visitor got quite a chuckle out of this scene, as did I, of course, since I am completely secure in my sizable girth. Just more of me to love when you have me in your lap, is what I think.

Our dedicated medical staff here at Tabby’s Place are, of course, always monitoring my weight, and they did find that my blood glucose level was a bit higher this month. So they’ve raised my insulin dose, and they’ll continue to keep an eye on me.

In the meantime, please enjoy these pictures. One shows the the plastic door that I can’t quite make it through without leaving a bit of my plentiful grey fur behind…and the other shows me in all my large and lovable glory. I hope these images allow you to giggle along with me. Be chill with who you are, and love yourself like I do.

Peace, love, and purrs,

Charlie
