Update for Charlie

So we welcome April, my dear sponsors, even though it snowed here in Ringoes this past weekend.

My scribe, who writes my monthly updates for me, is particularly perturbed by this, because she spent the month of March in a warmer climate and hoped winter would be over upon her return. But cold weather, like most everything, doesn’t bug me. The chilly air just sent her running for lap snuggles with me, so life is good!

If I may be so bold, I think they should have a picture of me in the dictionary where they define the term “lap cat”, because I just don’t see how any other cat could be a better example.

So I have all good news this month, kittens. I’ve healed speedily from my dental drama, and I’m feeling great. And, even better than that, we’ve had several visitors who have been willing to consider adopting an FIV+ cat, and I’ve been on their short lists! My diabetes does mean I’ll need an extra-fabulous forever home, so I’m still waiting patiently for that perfect adopter who will take on my special needs. But I just loved the admiration I received from folks who came by to meet me. I’m told that I made a lasting, lovable impression on each and every human.

And, of course, I enjoy their marveling at my healthy, happy status considering all of my challenges. I’m convinced that my laid-back attitude toward everything, including all my new roomies, is the key.

I am looking forward to the eventual warmer weather, and long spring afternoons snoozing in the solarium. Listening to all the birds come back and build their nests in the flowering trees, watching the grass grow (yes, this is fun for me) and watching the woods behind Tabby’s Place come alive again…ahhhh.

I send you my love and thanks this month, as I do every month, and I hope you enjoy April wherever you are!

Peace, love, and purrs,

Charlie
