Update for Charlie

Greetings to Charlie’s chums,

With November’s arrival, we are reminded to be grateful for all our gifts in life. My first warm furry thought of course is you, my beautiful sponsors. I am one lucky boy with a lot to be grateful for, and I know it. Your kindness is why I get to snuggle in visitors’ laps and snooze away my days in cozy fuzzy beds as the weather here in New Jersey grows chillier.

My FIV+ buddies and I got to enjoy some contraband chow this month in what’s being jokingly called “the treat incident of 2017.” Well-meaning volunteers mistakenly distributed non-prescription treats in our room, and (believe me, my friends!) we enjoyed them while we gobbled them up! However our ever attentive staff gently reminded these sweet humans that although they of course want to spoil us out of pure love, it is indeed the kindest thing to respect our diet restrictions to keep us as healthy as possible. You can’t blame us kitties for trying to convince them to give us whatever we want! Hee hee hee…

Another one of my many things to be grateful for is that my only medical issue to report this month was waxy ears. My spectacular vet team cleaned up my handsome grey ears and all is cool now. My blood glucose levels have been stable enough that we can continue my current insulin dose, and I am feeling super groovy.

I am attaching two pictures this month to send my love. I tried to channel my inner fashion model by capturing a casual backwards glance over my shoulder, and to show you one of my favorite indoor nap spots under a chair on those rare occasions when I’m not outside.

Enjoy your November wherever you are, and please remember that I’m sending you a fluffy grey hug every day until my next update!

Peace, love, and purrs…

Charlie
