Update for Charlie

Is it true, my beloved sponsors?

Is spring truly on its way? Well, now that the cool dudes who think they run this place have sprung their clocks forward, I was simply happy to get my dinner an hour sooner this past Sunday. Although I’ll always be that guy hunched over the dry food bowl instead of finishing my wet food, hence the handsome picture of my rear view below.

And let me tell you about the other picture on this page. My human scribe begged me to don a supremely undignified St. Patrick’s Day hat, complete with braids made from orange yarn. Even though orange and green look stunning against my charcoal grey coat, I was not thrilled by this venture. Since we cats do not typically partake in the “drunken merriment” aspect of this holiday, my scribe could not get me drunk to cooperate…but she knows that a little lap-love time goes a long way. So I did, in fact, allow her to finally snap a relatively decent shot of me to keep y’all entertained.

Now I continue to watch the ice that crept into our solarium over the winter slowly melt away. As the weather warns, I hope you’ll consider coming to visit me if you can. I loved seeing all my peeps who came by this past month, especially, of course, my rescuers who brought me here in the first place.

The Tabby’s Place medical folks were a bit concerned with my blood work this month. Apparently my total protein level (a measure of hydration and kidney function) was elevated. They suspect, since this was out of step with my recent normal blood work, that the blood test machine may just be on the fritz. But, they will, of course, watch me closely and retest this to make sure I’m okay.

So bring on the sunshine, Mother Nature! We’re all ready for this winter to be over!

Thank you for all you do for me!
