Update for Carrot

Dear Carrot friends,

I think Carrot is convinced spring is here (even though I’m not convinced myself, with all the cold days, and even snow flurries, we’ve been having). In fact, Carrot is determined spring is here, and that’s all there is to it. Every time I look for him lately, he is in the solarium. And Carrot’s new thing is to roll over and give me his belly every time I walk towards him…adorable! I pick him up and give him lots of kisses. I can’t help myself…he’s so cute!

Carrot absolutely loves it when someone goes into his room with a wand toy. He really loves to play, and he turns into a kitten again, running, leaping and pouncing. He’s a lot of fun for sure.

“Little Carrot” is becoming a bit of an anachronism. Although we still tend to think of Carrot as a sweet, tiny boy, he’s turned tubby on us — and it couldn’t be cuter, but these days he is more the shape of a watermelon than a carrot. 🙂

Carrot has also proven himself an outstanding tour guide. Reliably, he will follow visitors’ voices from the inside of Suite B up the ramp into the hallway tube, and then out into the solarium. He seems to take great delight in showing off “his” solarium, and of course the visitors love to see him showing them how the cats use the overhead tubes to access the outside solaria.

Healthwise, all is well for Carrot, and it continues to get easier and easier to have his bladder expressed. The rest of the staff and I are very grateful for this! He still has days where he doesn’t really want to cooperate, and he wiggles and flips over, but most days he tolerates it very well.

That’s all the Carrot news for now. As always, thank you for supporting Carrot. Because of you, he has everything he needs and wants, including a little “too much” food. 🙂
