Dear Carrot Friends,
Carrot seems to be settled into Suite C with no problems. The only strange thing is that he isn’t going out to the solarium much, mostly preferring to be inside. I know it’s been quite cold lately, but that has never stopped Carrot going outside before. Our Carrot has always been a die-hard solarium dweller; now he only visits his new solarium for a few minutes at a time. I’m sure once the weather warms up he’ll be back outside.
Carrot spends his winter days lately curled up in a big comfy bed in the suite. He has been hanging out with Elijah, Phoebe and Sparkly the most, and trying to avoid Dudley, the Suite C bully. Carrot has learned that each of the suites seems to have one of these cats, the kind of cat that everyone walks around to avoid close contact. But our Carrot survived Suite B, and he knows a thing or two about bully cats.
Meanwhile, back in Suite B, Carrot’s love, Valencia, has been spending her time hanging out with Goldeen. They are both shy and quiet girls, so they seem content to stick together, and are often seen snuggling in one bed.
Carrot joined Suite C because that is our diet room, and Carrot certainly needed a diet. The good news is the diet is already working, and Carrot has slowly started to drop some weight. Suite C has no dry food during the day, but they do have wet food in the morning and dry food all night. This, hopefully, stops cats from eating 24/7, and helps them to lose some weight.
You would never know Carrot has no food during the day; he doesn’t seem to care at all. Even when food does come around he doesn’t scramble like some of the other cats in his suite (who you would think haven’t been fed for a month, rather than just a few hours) — he just carries on with whatever he’s doing right then, and eats when he’s good and ready.
Carrot had a small bout of diarrhea this month, but it seems to be resolved now with no further issue. Carrot is always good for his medicine when he needs it. I wish some (many??) of the other cats would take a lesson from him.
That’s all the Carrot news for now. As always, thank you so much for your continued support of Carrot. We couldn’t do it without you!
Carrot sends headbumps and purrs.
