I am now convinced that Carrot could win anyone over. I was walking through the lobby recently and looked in the window of Suite B where Carrot resides. At first, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, so I looked closer. I had thought I’d seen Carrot playing and wrestling with Spumoni, but that couldn’t be right…Spumoni does NOT like cats…Spumoni is mean to cats…and Spumoni is HUGE and very intimidating to the other cats. Even cat bully BooBoo backs down from Spumoni. He’s just not a cat you mess with.
Apparently Carrot didn’t get that memo, because there they were, wrestling, playing, grooming each other, and having a ton of fun. They even took a break from play and lay together, touching paws, very happy and content. After a few minutes of relaxing, Carrot decided he wanted Spumoni to play again, so he started poking Spumoni and rolling on him. I was nervous, thinking Spumoni was going to hit him for sure, but nope: Spumoni happily resumed playing with Carrot.
I’m thinking that if we are ever at war, we can just send Carrot in to bring peace and harmony to everyone. After what I witnessed with Spumoni, it may be possible Carrot could bring about World Peace! He has this kinda goofy, sweet, fun-loving personality that no one can resist, not even Spumoni!
Carrot is finally getting a little easier to express. He can be quite squirmy when it’s time to express his bladder, but he is tolerating it more easily these days. The last 2 times I expressed his bladder, I just stood him on my lap and expressed him into the litter box — and he allowed me to do it with no fight. Phew!
Carrot seems to enjoy his life at Tabby’s Place. Now, he’d probably find the positive in Armageddon, but here his days are filled with play, food and adoring humans who hug and pet him. It’s not World Peace, but it’s pretty close.
Thank you for helping us to save this wonderful boy. Without Tabby’s Place and your help, Carrot’s future would have been bleak. As the saying goes, “Saving One Animal May Not Change the World, But It Will Change The World For That One Animal.”
