Dear Carrot friends,
Finally! Spring seems to have arrived! At least, that’s what Carrot seems to be thinking, as he definitely has a spring in his step lately. Carrot absolutely loves the warm weather, and I’m not sure if he loves the heat, or the fact that he can be in his solarium a lot, or both. I’m guessing both.
Carrot has been a lot more…Carrot lately. He’s back to running up to me to greet me, rolling over for rubs, playing, and just having a grand ol’ time.
Carrot may also be feeling good because his archenemy, Smitten, was adopted. We were all shocked when she was adopted, since she was usually cranky and often swatted cats and people. But, when one particular family came to visit, Smitten decided they were her family. She fell in love with them, they fell in love with her, and I’m happy to report that she is living very happily in her new home. She loves her new family, and she is not even slightly cranky!
Carrot is just happy Smitten’s out of his fur. He did not approve of her whining and hissing, and, as you will recall, he told her so very strongly last month. Now, if he can just get rid of Misty, Swiffer and Simba, he can once again rule Suite B.
Carrot is always the best tour guide when we have visitors at Tabby’s Place. He’s either rolling and being adorable from inside the suite when they are in the lobby, or demonstrating our overhead tunnels when the visitors get into the suite hallway, or running down the ramp in the solarium to greet visitors when they go out there. Each new visitor immediately falls in love with Carrot, of course, and gives him lots of pets.
The new staff members at Tabby’s Place are finally able to express Carrot’s bladder (most of the time). It’s one of the final tests for new staff, as his bladder is so difficult to do. Once you can express Carrot, you’re ready to try Olive! Olive’s bladder is easier to express; the only problem is that she’s trying to kill you while you do it, so you’d better know what you are doing before you even try Olive!
There’s no medical news for cheerful Carrot. In fact, when reviewing past medical notes, we found that there have been no significant medical reports for Carrot since June of 2016 (and that was just a bout of diarrhea). Our Carrot is healthy and happy, just as every cat deserves to be, and that is all thanks to you and your loving support of our sweet boy.
That’s all the Carrot news for this month. Carrot would like to send you all a big headbutt of thanks for all your love and support.
