Update for Carrot

Dear Carrot friends,

Big news in the world of Carrot. His BFF, wrestle partner, and snuggle buddy, Spumoni, has been adopted. While I am very happy for Spumoni to have his own home and family, I was quite concerned about Carrot. Spumoni and Carrot have been friends for a long time now, and while I know Carrot has many friends, he would be with Spumoni more often than anyone else.

Spumoni’s new family is very nice, and he’s going to have a wonderful home and lots of love. His new family have another cat at home who had just lost his friend (their other cat had recently passed away), and they thought Spumoni would be a great addition to their family. I wish Spumoni lots of luck and love in his new life…and now back to Carrot!

I felt so bad for Carrot as Spumoni left for good. What would Carrot do without him? Would he be heartbroken? Would he look for his friend? I held him and tried to explain, but I think I worried needlessly. It turns out Carrot is completely fine! He doesn’t seem sad, he isn’t searching for Spumoni, he’s just the same as ever….. hanging with Steven, Chelsea, or any of his other friends. What a relief!

The only thing that has been bothering Carrot this month is the bully of the room, Wilbur. Wilbur has been bothering all the cats of suite B, and that includes our Carrot. Even cat whisperer Carrot can’t get crazy boy Wilbur to settle down. But for the next 2 weeks all the cats of suite B will have a break from Wilbur, as we have removed him from the room and put him in our hospital room (he’s fine, don’t worry). We started Wilbur on a behavior medication to try to stop him from being so aggressive to the other cats, and since it can take up to 2 weeks to get into his system we have removed him from his room while it takes affect. Carrot and all his friends are hoping it will work, and Wilbur will come back a little calmer, and more willing to live peaceful with them.

We have 2 new staff members joining our team recently, and Carrot is challenging them to learn how to express his bladder. Learning to express a bladder is one of the hardest things for new people to learn, and since Carrot gives us experienced staff a challenge, so far it’s Carrot 2 new staff 0.

Well, that’s all the Carrot news for this month. Carrot is hanging his stocking soon, and hoping Santa will bring him lots of new toys and treats.

Thanks you all for your love and support of Carrot. Because of you Carrot is loved, safe, and has all the care he could ever need. Carrot and everyone at Tabby’s Place wish you all a happy and safe holiday.
