Update for Carrot

Dear Carrot friends,

It is officially party time, all the time, in Solarium B. Carrot and his friends have permanently moved outside, never to set paw inside the suite until winter.

Carrot’s list of friends grows each time I go out there now. At first it was just three or four of them who liked to hang outside, but now half the suite has found that the party crowd hangs in the solarium. The other day, when I went out, there were ten cats outside.

The solarium seems to attract the easygoing, fun-loving cats the most. There they are, lounging on the cat beds, basking in the sun. Then, later in the day, when it’s cooler, the real party begins, running, chasing each other and playing with toys. Carrot, of course, is right at the center of everything. Carrot is the cool kid, the one everyone wants to be friends with. I can see them all being surfers, lazing on the beach, catching some waves, and drinking a cold one during the day, then as night falls, hitting the bars for an all-night party.

The other day I was in Solarium B, and Carrot and Steve were rubbing and hugging each other. I quickly got my camera out, but as soon as I pointed it at them, Steven took off. I guess he didn’t want his picture taken.

The only time Carrot gets unsettled in his solarium is when tough boy Hank occasionally wanders outside. Carrot does not like Hank, and he lets him know it. Carrot likes peace, Carrot likes easygoing friends, and Carrot likes to relax. So when Hank comes out with his bad boy attitude, it disturbs Carrot’s peace and quiet.

Carrot actually has some medical news this month, the first such news in quite some time. Carrot developed a mild case of conjunctivitis in his right eye. This was so mild that we were able to treat it with just an amino acid supplement in his food. If that’s the worst thing that happens in such a long time, I think Carrot is doing really well.

I am including a picture that shows some of the lovely view from Carrot’s solarium, for those of you who have never been able to visit. It is very beautiful and peaceful out there, so I can see why Carrot likes it so much. In the second picture, Carrot was relaxing on his bed, looking very happy and content.

It’s not a bad life for Carrot and the other cats here at Tabby’s Place. They have inside suites with ramps and cubes, good food, comfy beds, lots of people to pet and adore them; outside solaria to sunbathe; and lots of friends to snuggle or play with. I can honestly say Carrot is happy here. He has everything he needs and wants, lots of cat friends, and lots of humans who absolutely adore him.

Thank you for making this possible for Carrot. We literally could not do this without you, and because of you, right now Carrot is outside in his solarium relaxing with his friends, happy, content and loved.
