Happy Valentine’s Day, Carrot Fans!

Our handsome boy sends his love to each of you for being such amazing sponsors!

I must admit that I was unable to visit our boy much this month. We had a few quick visits, and I made sure to get in some pets and kisses. I have heard such fabulous stories from my fellow volunteers, and they have allowed me to share them.

A fellow volunteer we’ll call A.H. was helping “thorough” clean the suites and solarium, when cats and all their bedding is removed. After the cleaning, the cats and their bedding are all returned to the space. A.H. had been fixing a blanket on top of the warming pad in the solarium.

All of a sudden, Carrot came running down the ramp, and jumped right into the middle of the warming pad! She placed our boy on the floor so she could shake the blanket out, and that little stinker hopped right back up! Eventually, she gave up and placed the blanket around him. It’s very obvious Carrot is in good health and spirits this month:)

As you all know, Carrot is not one for drama and shenanigans. When Sketch was living in the Suite, he avoided her drama at all cost. Well, now one of the other boys is causing drama.

Newcomer Maurice is an adorable cross-eyed tabby. Since Suite C shares a wall with the lobby, the cats can see each other. This has never been an issue. For some reason, Maurice likes to taunt feisty little Grecca through the glass, as she often sits ontop of a crate right in front of Maurice’s window. I’m sure Carrot has told him many times that this is a bad idea. It will be interesting to see how this plays out!
