Dear Buddy People,

Although I often think of the FIV+ Suite as the most stable suite at Tabby’s Place, occasionally a surprise lights up the sky. Just when Lester and Pyewacket stopped jockeying for kingship, there’s a new sheriff in Suite FIV, and she’s brooking no rivals. Newcomer Adelaide made quite a strong impression on Buddy, Newman, Lester and Pyewacket, giving them all a few whacks shortly after her arrival. Fortunately, things have settled down since that startling introduction, so perhaps she was just showing our frat boys who’s in charge.

Buddy remains a true cat’s cat, continuing to share his affections with his feline friends, enjoying his traditional spots: the corner atop the indoor crates and the solarium ramp. I’ve spent solid chunks of time staring at his gorgeous white belly in the tube between the indoors and outdoors as well, with a couple cats bunched up behind him. Traffic jam!

For his part, Buddy’s been a good boy this month, with no reports of inappropriate elimination. Well, mostly a good boy. The Tabby’s Place team did notice him smacking his friend Wolfie, but it was only once. We think. Wolfie still loves him — we all do.
