The sight of Buddy’s face is so uplifting and breathtaking, isn’t it? He is so beautiful, and those green eyes are enchanting.
To understand Buddy and how he rolls is to understand his posse. Newman is his main man. Wolfie is his number two. To get to Buddy, and experience his loving spirit, you have to separate Buddy from his buds.
Newman is pretty mellow and loving, as you know. Wolfie is a new dude to the world of Buddy and Tabby’s. He is very protective of Buddy. So, to get physically close to these two means encountering a lot of Wolfie snarling.
If you are patient, and I mean still as a stone patient, and get Buddy alone, in one of his favorite contemplative spots, GOLD! Buddy sat for me today, by himself, and let me pet his sweet, soft, self to my heart’s content. Take it step further – he let me brush his beautiful coat, to a shine, with a happy (although very quiet) purr of appreciation and love.
I am overjoyed to report that Buddy’s weight and teeth are in tip-top shape, no doubt a result from his loving environment and great care from Tabby’s staff and devoted volunteers.
