Update for Bialy

Greetings, Bialy supporters!

Good news – there is no medical news for Bialy again this month. That’s just the way we like it.

Bialy is practically a full-time lobby cat these days. And it seems that along with taking the big step of moving out to the lobby, Bialy has grown up. Just the other day, a volunteer stopped to visit with him for a bit. He was curled up in a basket on the floor in front of the FIV suite windows. He could hardly be bothered to wake up to visit, and he seemed so much more self-possessed than he used to be. Sigh. I guess babies have to grow up sometime, don’t they?

Not that he doesn’t have his silly moments, of course, and not that he’s too cool to care – especially when it comes to food! Bialy and Ike continue to define “soulmate” in a whole new way…especially if by “soul” you mean “stomach”.

These two boys are bound by the unbreakable bond of love of food, and Bialy knows that when he’s looking for a snack, Ike’s blanket is a good place to be. Ike’s food spills not only onto his blanket but onto the floor as well making for a crunchy walking surface near the blanket.

One of Bialy’s favorite places seems to be near the windows to the suites. He was there a few weeks ago when he had a special visit from one of his sponsors. He was quite happy to get acquainted with some new people and had a nice visit, part of which volunteer Jess videotaped.

He was in front of the suite windows again today, on a pretty blue blanket. This time he was in front of the Special Needs suite. When I first came over he seemed to be napping but quickly woke up for a good belly rub. One of the photos this month shows him with his famous tummy. The other just gives a peek of the window of the suite behind him. At one point a cat in the suite came close to the window and Bialy took notice, wondering what that cat was doing.

Bialy thanks you for your support. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by a visit. He’ll be happy to see you.
