Update for Albert

Dear fellow Albert-adorers,

It is with great sorrow that I write to tell you that our sweet Albert has passed away.

This week began with worry, as Albert had a significant fever and was eating poorly. When he rallied after being treated with IV fluids, we were hopeful that this might just be another upper respiratory infection.

But then, today, Albert made it very clear that he was ready to find rest and peace from his struggle.

Tired and dehydrated even after receiving IV fluids, Albert wasn’t responding to tender care. When he hid himself in Yasmine‘s crate, we knew this was not the boy we’d come to love.

Albert’s beloved Joyce (pictured beside Albert at right) raced to Tabby’s Place the moment she heard that Albert’s time had come, and she was with him as he left this earth. Our sweet Albert was surrounded by all the staff in his final moments, and I know he was embraced by your love, prayers and amazing support.

Dear friends, words can’t fully express my gratitude for all you have done and been for Albert. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this precious old soul’s last years at Tabby’s Place truly happy, and full of love.

I can say, without doubt, that Albert was a cat who knew he was cherished, and savored all the love he received. Thank you for making that possible.
