Happy February, Adam admirers!
I hope that this month finds you happy and healthy. Adam is doing very well. In health news, our happy, wacky boy lost a bit of weight from his tiny frame this month. Since he’s otherwise stable and doing well for now, we will simply monitor this closely.
Adam remains a bit of a slug this month. He loves his naps! Luckily for Adam, he is absolutely adorable in the way that he chooses to sleep, so it’s easy to enjoy his snooziness.
Adam’s suite has been a bit crazy recently, due to some difficult behavior from Adam’s buddy Rorschach. Luckily, with the help of some behavioral medication, Rorschach has calmed down, and so has life in the suite. Although I did hear a story that makes me think Adam may have something to do with the unrest from time to time!
Apparently, a few weeks ago, Adam’s solarium friend Steven had to be crated overnight for some logical reason (although I’m sure Steven didn’t think so). Steven adores the solarium, so between this indignity and the few days of freezing cold weather that forced him to stay inside, Steven was not a particularly happy camper at being shut indoors in a crate.
To add insult to this injury, Adam decided to take it upon himself to make Steven’s life as miserable as possible. According to an eye-witness, Adam positioned himself on top of the crate, bent over the door, and boxed Steven right through the closed door. Poor Steven had nowhere to go, and Adam took full advantage of this situation! Luckily, Steven was released the next morning, and the weather has warmed up a little, so Steven is now back in his solarium and away from Adam’s relentless teasing.
Adam also had the pleasure of being read to by one of our Paws to Read kids. He enjoyed trying to climb the little girl. Adam has proved to be a very good reading buddy, so I am sure he will have the chance to be read to again in the near future.
Adam is doing so well these days, enjoying life and getting lots of love. He is grateful to you for all that you are doing for him and hopes that you will get to visit with him soon. He has learned how to greet people properly now, so any chance to have special visitors gives him a great opportunity to practice his newfound skills.
If you are a bit too far away to just drop by, Adam sends you extra hugs and kisses. He wants everyone to know that they are loved by a special tabby boy. Enjoy your February, and we’ll be back with another Adam update in a few weeks.
