Happy New Year! Adam and I send our best wishes for a wonderful 2019 to everyone.
January finds Adam happy and healthy. The end of last month was a little more difficult for our boy. He began having severe, drippy diarrhea. Happily, this has resolved nicely with an antibiotic. We’ll continue his current antibiotic protocol for now, rechecking mid-month. His weight has fortunately remained stable.
Adam has continued to enjoy his hibernating months. He is always found in a cozy spot in Suite A taking a long, winter’s nap. Adam is absolutely adorable when he is curled up in a ball snoozing away. His little nose is always tucked under a paw and he is wrapped up in a tiny little cat circle, snuggling with himself. It has gotten a lot colder in recent weeks, so Adam has abandoned his solarium for the time being.
December often brings a slew of visitors to Tabby’s Place who want to visit their favorite cats for the holidays. Adam has enjoyed many visits and has had fun with many friends. He had some special visitors from the school where I teach.
One of the families that I have worked with for several years brought their three boys to see Tabby’s Place for the first time. Since I talk about Adam a lot, he was definitely on the meet and greet list. He loved seeing so many children all at once. Adam really likes kids and is often very curious when they interact with him. His little face lit up and he was very gentle with the boys. They petted his head and he just reached up one little paw and touched them very sweetly. I was so glad that he got to meet them and that he was so well behaved.
Being January, Adam has just celebrated his birthday. He is now a decade old. Ten years seems like it has gone by in the blink of an eye. At Tabby’s Place, since we can’t be sure when most of our cats’ birthdays are, we celebrate everyone’s birthday on January 1st. Adam enjoyed his birthday very much. I made sure he had extra pets and attention the first week in January!
Adam sends you so much love and is so grateful for all that you for him. He is looking forward to another year of love and life at Tabby’s Place. Have a wonderful January and we’ll be back next month with more tales from our sleepy, snuggly tabby boy.
