Update for Adam

Happy March to you, friends of Adam!

This month finds our boy as wacky and silly as ever.

His relationship with Mango isn’t the only unruly facet of Adam’s life. Alas, our incontinent superstar has developed a nasty case of diarrhea. This is never pleasant, of course, but Adam’s inability to control when and where he “goes” has made Suite C downright disgusting. We’re treating Adam with an antibiotic and trust he’ll be on the mend soon. (Fortunately, he’s as maniacally happy as ever.)

Whenever I stop in to visit Adam, he immediately swoops upon me and wants to be loved. He is very insistent about this and spends a great deal of time stalking me as I walk around the suite greeting everyone (and often cleaning up poop and pee, which I strongly suspect came from my little friend).

”Oh Adam,” I say. “You poor guy. When is this potty problem going to end?” He tells me that he doesn’t know. It goes away for awhile and then it comes back.

”I know you can’t help it, Adam,” I tell him. “I still love you, even though you are messy.” He is very happy to hear this. I get all kinds of head butts and happy chirps.

“Now Adam,” I tell him, “You need to stop harassing Mango. He is a good guy and he would really like to have some peace in his life.” Adam says that he knows. He just can’t seem to stop. “Mango gets all the attention,” he whines. “Why do so many people love him?”

”Mango is a special kitty,” I tell him, “But you are too. You just need to stop trying so hard. People want to be able to pet you without you trying to climb them or bite them.” He knows. He is trying. He is just so enthusiastic about life and love. He can’t contain himself.

In other news, there have been some comings and goings in Adam’s suite this month. The lovely Natasha has been adopted, which is wonderful news for this senior tortie. She has been at Tabby’s Place for a long time and really deserves this wonderful new chapter in her life.

Two new cats, Sneakers and Alaric have moved in.
It will be interesting to see how the dynamic will change in Suite C with these changes. Mango will be missing his best girl Natasha, and that may change his relationship with Adam a bit, hopefully for the better. I am curious to see how Adam reacts to the new boys in the suite. Will he welcome them with open arms, or will he see them as competition for affection? Time will tell.

So, my Adam loving friends, Adam and I wish you a very happy March. Adam appreciates all that you do for him, and he looks forward to updating you again on his new, hopefully cleaner, adventures next month.
